Development of Active Antenna Systems

In the past, IMST has carried out numerous antenna activities at and with ESA, the European Space Agency. Within the framework of this cooperation, a portfolio of active antenna systems was developed, e.g. GNSS antennas with new EBG technology (Electronic BandGap), terminals for mobile satellite communication on the ground, but also payload antennas for SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast). The frequency bands addressed range from L and S-band to Ka-band. We are currently also intensively cooperating with a focus on innovative, cost-effective antenna apertures for the home sector. The long-standing cooperation with ESA has produced many innovative antenna solutions that are used in a wide range of applications.
